Daniel has been a bit more alert today although he is still weak and tired as would be expected. He is a bit more like his normal self today and has stayed awake all day.
This morning he had a physio session that mainly involved stretching his legs but he also managed to sit at a table and play with some toy dinosaurs. In the second session this afternoon he knelt at a bench and did some writing in foam on the bench top. He did some assisted crawling and pressing with his legs and even managed to spend 15 minutes touring the hospital on a tricycle!
The physio suite has loads of good kit and the therapists seem friendly and well motivated, and I think Daniel has been surprised that the sessions so far have been varied and relatively good fun.
Daniel's recovery is going according to the detailed plan and we will be discharged from the ward tomorrow (Sunday) after which we will be staying in a hotel for the duration of our time here.
