Tuesday night was comfortable for Daniel and we were discharged from the hospital late on Wednesday morning. He has 4 bandages on his legs, on the inside of his thighs just above knee height, and on both heel tendons at the base of his calves. He currently is comfortable when sitting but he has not put his weight on his legs yet.
He was able to go to the evening meal in the hotel tonight in his wheelchair and that was good for his morale.
Although Daniel has a lot of work to do for a full recovery it is great to get the final surgery completed without any problems so far. The pain in his legs should ease over a few days and I think he'll forget about it when he sees his mum and brother on Saturday morning.
